 Grant Writer – Full Time(40 hours per week)

About Housing Families: Housing Families Inc. (HFI) is one of the largest providers of shelter and affordable rental housing targeting homeless families in Massachusetts. HFI helps children and their parents to grow and heal from their past traumas, including losing their home. We offer a range of academic and emotional supports (tutoring and counseling) which help children improve their grades and their self esteem. In addition to supportive services, we operate nearly 100 units of affordable housing and transitional shelter.

General Summary: As a member of the Housing Families Inc. Development Team, the Grant Writer reports directly to the Director of Development and Communications and will work with the CEO, Program Directors and staff conceptualizing, researching, developing, writing and editing proposals to state agencies, corporations, foundations and individual donors to secure funding for agency programs and projects.

Responsibilities:
• Researches and writes proposals to state agencies, corporations, foundations and individual donor proposals to meet annual budget goal.
• Develop, maintain and execute an annual calendar that identifies and tracks proposal and grant reporting deadlines.
• Conducts research on potential funding sources, qualifies prospects, develops and maintains relationships with external agencies.
• Facilitates and manages grant submission process.
• Maintains funding opportunity/deadline databases, activity tracking system and related confidential files.
• Prepare and present all state agencies, corporations and foundation grant reports and updates in accordance with grantor stipulations and the nonprofit’s reporting requirements.
• Write content for annual reports, social media sites and other reports, as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Experience:
• Three to five years of grant writing experience.
• Exceptional grammar, writing, editing and proofreading skills.
• Demonstrated ability to establish and build relationships with state agencies, corporations, foundations and individual donors.
• A meticulous attention to detail.
• A proven track record of success in the submission and awarding of grants with state, corporate, foundation and individual donor proposals.
• Experience in the social services sector preferred.
• Ability to manage all aspects of the proposal presentation process, including budget development.
• Highly proficient in the use of Microsoft© Office Suite.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as collaboratively.
• Ability to successfully prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated interest in not-for-profit sector.

Plant Care Technician for Interior Landscaping Services

Company designs, installs and services interior plant displays, flowers,
replica foliage, holiday decor, ambient scenting and stunning wall art
for commercial businesses.

Full-time: $12.50-$14.00 an hr. with benefits (with commission for
add-on sales)

Hours: 8:00am-4:30pm

This job requires an individual who is capable of doing lots of walking,
carrying of materials (buckets, hoses, sprayers, etc.), bending,
occasional lifting and climbing of ladders to reach plants on cabinets,
etc.

Must have driver’s license.

They will train you in the horticulture skills you require during a
4-week training program.

Regional Business Development Director -  Full Time Position

Compensation Package:

  1. Base Salary  – $30,000 – $40,000
  2. Performance Base – 10% of over territory sales
  3. Stock options – vested over 5 year period

Total Annual Compensation: $90,000+

Position Requirements:

  1. Bachelor Degree
  2. Minimum 5 year of experience in Sales and/or Business Development
  3. Successful candidate must be outgoing, charismatic, goal oriented and driven

Position Summary:

Community Business Network (CBN) replacing classified ads market with visual and interactive message promoting small business while promoting and supporting local business organizations and schools.

This job entails developing sales opportunities for CBN in existing and new markets.

Key Responsibilities:

  •  Relationship Development:

Develop and leverage existing relationships with local business through personal meetings, presentations, speaking engagements, business networking, telephone calls, personal emails, personal mailings, business forums, direct marketing, and/or other business or social outings.

  • Local Community Engagement 

Built into CBN’s core business practice is support of local School System and Chamber of Commerce. Company donates 5% of all sales to School System and 5% of all sales to Chamber of Commerce in every territory it operates. Successful candidate will engage, develop and maintain relationships with local business leaders and parent teacher organizations.
